Historically, the Western Slope of Colorado has been a destination for people across the state to visit and pick delicious produce.  Our orchard is open for picking the following types of fruits and vegetables.  They are roughly arranged for their season.  The months are also approximate and may change according to the weather, but we’ll keep you updated.

Grapes: Usually September through October.

Apple Picking: Usually September through October

The proverb “An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” addressing the health effects of the fruit, dates from 19th century Wales. Research suggests that apples may reduce the risk of colon cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer. Peach and Pear Picking: Usually August through September

The Persians brought the peach from China and passed it on to the Romans. Cherry Picking: Around June-early July

Cherries contain anthocyanins, the red pigment in berries. Cherry anthocyanins have been shown to reduce pain and inflammation. Anthocyanins are also potent antioxidants under active research for a variety of potential health benefits. –Wikipedia
